September 2015 News

Dear Friends and Supporters of CAMP,

It’s hard to believe that the leaves are turning already and summer is winding down!

IMPORTANT FOLLOW UP MEETING: Wednesday, September 16th

On Wednesday, September 16th, 2015, we will be meeting at 7 p.m. at the Alton Library.

Our lawyer, Eric Gillespie, is planning to be on hand to speak about our Ontario Municipal Board Hearing, its outcomes  and CAMP’s next steps.  If time allows, there will be a Q & A.

Agenda:

1. Update about the Ontario Municipal Board Hearing with Special Guest, CAMP’s lawyer, Eric Gillespie.

2. Financial Update

3. Where do we go from here?

I hope that you will be able to attend!

THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD HEARING

Since the completion of our Ontario Municipal Board Hearing, we have been waiting for the written decision from Chair Susan Schiller.  At this time, we have not yet received but we hope it will be forthcoming very soon.  Chair Schiller did outline, in her oral decision at the end of the Hearing, her decision to award, in part, the Hearing to CAMP with a no-wash restriction against Olympia.  We hope to receive more details about what that means from the written report.  More information will follow.

In the meantime, we appreciate that Eric Gillespie will be attending our first follow up community meeting in September.

THANK YOU, LORIE!

Special thanks to Lorie Martin-Pessot who kindly opened her lovely terrace, pool and home on August 9th (rain date) to celebrate the outcome of the OMB Hearing.  Thanks also to those of you who were able to come!

Best regards,

Mary Haslett
